Our rustic sink cabinet with slatted shelf has been designed by Marc Wood in our signature ‘dovetail ‘ style and is handmade to order by Marc and the team in Somerset UK from natural, sustainable FSC Redwood timbers.

Keep your bathroom orderly and neat with our modern rustic style free standing vanity unit; the slatted open shelf and generous cabinet space also make this piece an ideal storage unit for your laundry room or utility room.

Designed to match with our Dovetail Bathroom Furniture collection, this chunky wooden bathroom vanity measures 60 cm wide x 45 cm deep x 75 cm high with a neatly rounded overhang 1 cm front and back and 2 cm either side (main body measures 56 cm wide x 43 cm deep)

With a 4 cm thick wooden top piece, the upper cabinet section measures 56 cm wide x 43 cm deep x 37 cm high (inner cabinet height approx. 35 cm)

With double ‘dovetail’ doors featuring brass hinges and a ball catch closing mechanism.

Minimalist inset ‘groove’ style handles are set in the middle of the inner door panels (on request round wooden handles can be used instead)

Floor standing on 2 cm high feet for healthy air flow, the slatted shelf is removable for cleaning and sits above the feet with approx. 28 cm of shelf height.

This characterful wooden wash stand comes with a solid high quality Plywood back panel.

What height should my sink stand be?

Standard bathroom basin height is 10 cm to 15 cm, and it really depends on the sink stand design which you prefer; one with a counter top sitting ‘vessel basin’ or a classic inset ‘drop in’ sink.

Standard sink cabinet height for an inset or ‘drop in’ basin sink is between 80 cm – 85 cm and has more been recently trending towards 90 cm so as to be comfortable for taller members of the household.

If you are looking at our sink stand cabinet for a vessel or ‘sit on’ sink, it is a good idea to choose your basin style first or have a good idea of the height that this will be so that you can take off the height of the basin to get your ideal cabinet height.

The rustic sink cabinet with slatted shelf in the main pictures has been finished in light Danish Oil and we also offer a dark finish option, please let us know your wood tone choice when ordering.

Our Danish Oil finish is hard wearing and especially suitable for humid bathroom or laundry room conditions.
