How to fit your wall cabinet
There are several pre drilled fixing points along the upper and lower batons at the back of your cabinet, which you can access when the door is open.
These can be used to mark the space on your wall for drilling your holes and we recommend the strongest rawl plugs and screws suitable for your wall type, ie brick or plaster board.
staff at any good DIY shop should be able to advise you on the range available.
You can then open the door and screw through the holes in the back of your cabinet and securely into your wall, it may be easier to ask someone to hold the cabinet body steady for you. as it does get rather heavy after a few minutes of manoeuvring.
How to hang your handmade mirror with the metal plates provided and the 'hidden' option
We are always happy to place your hanging plates in the ‘hidden’ position behind your wooden mirror frame, just leave us a note at checkout.
The default is to place them as seen below, simply because makes it very easy to hang your mirror on your wall.

Aftercare of your handmade wooden furniture
Getting the best from natural wood
We have been making our wooden furniture designs in the same way for the past 10 years and we have not experienced any issues with their use in a bathroom or kitchen setting.
We have used a hard wearing and water resistant Danish Oil which is suitable for humid bathroom and kitchen conditions and you won’t need to add anything else, although you can apply another product over the top if you want to and it won’t affect the current finish.
For day to day care we recommend quickly wiping away any spills and splashes and regularly buffing with a soft cloth to enhance the natural sheen of the wood.
Maintaining the atmosphere in your home
To ensure a long and happy life your furniture will need to be gradually acclimatised.
To prevent movement as the timbers adjust to the average temperature of your home; to prevent your wood furniture from cracking, warping, or drying out;
Wood does best in moderate temperatures of around 20– 22 degrees Celsius and about 50 – 55% humidity, so this is what we recommend keeping your home set to in order to keep your wood furniture in top condition
Avoid frequent and sudden changes in humidity, as they can be damaging to furniture.
Avoid excess heat or dryness, as this can cause wood to split and crack.
The householder is responsible in the event of damage caused by very high temperatures and very low humidity.
Be sure to keep your furniture away from close contact heat sources such as fireplaces, underfloor heating or radiators.
